1970 Ford Maverick Grabber Registry
Welcome to the home of the 1970 Ford Maverick Grabber Registry.  I am trying to document and "register" as many of these special cars as I can.

First introduced in February of 1970 at the Chicago Automobile Show, the 1970 Maverick Grabbers were only available in  5 "Grabber" Colors

Starting April 30, 1970, a Maverick Grabber could be had in any Maverick color except Black, Medium Blue Metallic and Pastel Blue
So how is a 1970 Maverick Grabber different than a standard Maverick?
For $278 a Grabber Buyer Could Get:
- Black Painted Hood Stripes
- Black Cast Plastic Grill with Matching Headlight Doors
- Bright Drip Rail Moldings and Window Frames
- Color Keyed Dual Racing Mirrors
- Bodyside Tape Stripes in Black or White
          (White being more rare)
- Rear Deck Lid Spolier
- Black Painted Rear Tail-Light Panel
- Deluxe Fuel Cap
- Trim Rings and Corporate Button Hub Caps
- Black All-Vinyl Interior
- Carpeting
As Introduced in February of 1970:
Changes Made in April of 1970:
- Only Available in the 5 Original Grabber Color
- D70 x 14"  or  C78 x 14" WSW tires
- Three Spoke Woodgrain Rim-Blow Steering Wheel
- 200 CID-6 Mandatory Option, 250 CID-6 also available
- Original Grabber colors plus other colors listed above
- B78 x 14" tires
- Standard Steering Wheel replaces Rim-Blow
- 170 CID-6 Standard motor, 200 CID-6 and 250 CID-6 also available
In April of 1970, The Grabber program was extended with some changes.  These slight changes was made to attract more buyers and was also offered with a lower price of only $194 for the Grabber package
